Mazaka Movie Review: Sundeep Kishan is a special actor among young heroes who have made films with different storylines. Recently, he has been making a good name by acting in special roles in some films and as a solo hero in others. The commercial Maa Ooru Bhairavakona, in which Sundeep played the hero, was a great success. He also played a key role in Rayan, directed by Dhanush.

He recently came to the audience with the film ‘Majaka’. Trinadharao Nakkina has made many films as a successful director. How did the audience entertain with the combination of the two of them with ‘Majaka’? To what extent was this film a plus for Sundeep Kishan? What were the aspects that impressed the audience in this film? Let's find out in this review.

Mazaka Movie Story:

When you open it, two people are lying on the beach with blood stains. A person who sees it calls the police. The inspector (Ajay) who arrives there examines the bodies of both of them and realizes that they are not dead, but are lying under the influence of drugs, and wakes them both up. They are father and son. They say that there are many reasons why they fall down drunk.

When the inspector says that he is writing a novel and wants a good point for it, the father and son start telling their story. The father's name is Ramana (Rao Ramesh) and the son's name is Krishna (Sandeep Kishan). Ramana thought that if he married a motherless son, they would also have a family.. He looks for Krishna.

But, all the relationships that were made are gone because of the reason why he will send a girl alone to a house with two men. However, after hearing Pantulu's words that he should get married if he wants his son to get married, Ramana looks for a companion. At that time, Yashoda (Anshu) appears. He follows her like a boy and sends her a line.

On the other hand, Krishna falls in love with a girl named Meera at first sight. But, neither of them loves Ramana or Krishna. But, under a strange circumstance, they fall in love. At that time, it is revealed that Yashoda and Meera are cousins. However, if they are put on a pedestal, there will be hatred as strong as a raging fire between the two. Ramana and Krishna, who thought that if they got married, a good family would be formed, are shocked.

Thinking that if they get married, there will be fights in the house, the father and son want to get married to bridge the gap between them. And what obstacles did they face in that attempt? Did the cousins, who were bitter enemies, come together? Did Ramana and Krishna get married? What are the twists in the story? This is the rest of the story.

Mazaka Movie Analysis:

There have been many films with this type of story in the past. This film is an attempt to make a family drama that is mainly entertaining and appealing to the audience. Although it is titled ‘Majaka’ to give it a touch of comedy, it seems like a full-fledged family story film. It starts as a plain Seeda film and runs for half an hour with a poor story and very poor dialogues.

Except for the dialogues where Rao Ramesh and Sundeep Kishan say that they are doing comedy, everything else seemed like a routine. After that, it seems like good entertainment for another 40 minutes. Some of the dialogues are also comedies. The first half ends with an unexpected twist.

In the second half, the twists and turns that the father and son go through to marry the girls they like seem like a routine. At times, there is a feeling that the film is being dragged unnecessarily. Some twists in the second half... arouse interest in what is going to happen next.

Like a commercial film, many ups and downs are beyond logic. Although director Trinath Rao's attempt to provide full-fledged entertainment to the audience is good, the audience does not feel that they are watching a new film as it is an old formula.

Actors Performance:

The characters who are seen most from the beginning to the end of the film are Ramana and Krishna. The character played by Sundeep Kishan is nothing new. He has played that type of character in some films before. That is why there is no variety in it. Rao Ramesh's character should be mentioned specifically in this film. He has not played this type of character so far.

The character he played, who chases after a girl like a boy, steps up and talks jovially, is special to him. It must be said that Rao Ramesh played this character effectively. There is some difference in the characters played by Ritu Varma and Anshu. However, the film lacks glamour completely due to these two.

Ritu Varma looked terrible in many scenes where she was supposed to look beautiful, confusing the audience. Even though Anshu is a character appropriate for her age, she lacks fullness. As a result, the audience is disappointed with the heroines.

Among the other characters, Murali Sharma's strange character entertains here and there. He did justice to his role as a psycho. It seems that people like Srinivasa Reddy, Hyper Adi, and Raghubabhu were included in the film because they had to be there, but their characters do not have much importance.

Technical experts:

The film cannot be given high marks in terms of technology. First of all, the cinematography disappoints the audience. From the beginning to the end of the film, there is no amazing photography in any scene. When it comes to editing, there is no brilliance in it either. Even if a particular scene is missing in a two-and-a-half-hour film, if the scenes that are not considered to be detrimental to the story were cut, the length would have been reduced a bit.

It did not seem that much importance was given to the songs in the film. Since songs should be in the film, some songs were included. The song ‘Sommasilli Pothanane..’ is the only one that is impressive. The comedy dialogues written by Bezawada Prasannakumar made people laugh in some places. Some sentimental dialogues were also impressive here and there. The background music was also not worth mentioning.

Especially in many scenes, the background score dominated the dialogues spoken by the artists. Many of the dialogues are not understandable. There are two or three fights in the film. It can be said that fight master Prithvi designed them as a variety. Speaking about director Trinadharao... it would have been better if he had told the audience the point he wanted in the story in a new way.

Many films have come out with such storylines in the past. He also went in that direction. However, the twists given in some places and some sentimental scenes impress the audience. The production values seemed to be okay.

The attempt to show the old story in a new format was successful in parts but did not impress the audience completely. The film starts with a poor scene. After that, even though they tried to entertain the audience with routine comedy dialogues, it did not work out. The characters of Rao Ramesh, Sundeep Kishan, and Murali Sharma in the film, along with the dialogues spoken by them, have pulled the film along to some extent. Those who want good entertainment along with a family story and sentiments can watch it once.
