Robinhood Movie Review: The pair of Nithin-Venky Kudumula was impressed with the film 'Bheeshma'. The film that they have come together again is Robin Hood. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, this film was released today. Let's see its features.

Robinhood Movie Story:

Ram (Nithin) is an orphan. Due to financial problems, he starts stealing from the orphanage he lived in as a child. He robs money from the houses of big boys and feeds the orphans like him. With this, his name changes to Robin Hood. However, when a police officer named Victor (Shine Tom Chacko) puts a special focus on him, Robin Hood becomes alert.

After giving up theft for some time, he starts working as a security agent. When Neera Vasudev (Sreelila), the daughter of a big company owner in Australia, comes to India, Robin Hood takes on the responsibility of protecting her. But a gang of dons lures her to a town called Rudrakonda. And what is the goal of that gang? Did Robin Hood save her from them? The answer to these questions should be found on screen.

Robinhood Movie Analysis:

Young director Venky Kudumula made a strong impression as a writer-director with the film Chalo. Bheeshma. The main attraction of both of those films is entertainment. In the style of his mentor Trivikram Srinivas, Venky subtly creates comedy with one-liners.. punchy dialogues, while on the other hand, he impresses the audience with small twists in the stories.

Even after watching the promos of 'Robin Hood', it seemed that there was no shortage of comedy. After seeing the fun in the promotional videos of this film, the audience thought that there would be more entertainment in the film. However, 'Robin Hood' is a film that does not disappoint in terms of comedy. It can't be called a comedy that explodes, but... the audience laughs here and there.

But movies don't work just on comedy, right? There should be a point in the story. There should be new scenes. That's where 'Robin Hood' disappoints. Venky, who focused on comedy, followed the routine template seen in many movies in terms of story, so there is no doubt that he will be disappointed in that regard. The movie might be a time-pass, but... it couldn't make a strong impact. This is a movie that is not bad to watch once for comedy.

In 'Robin Hood', the heroine wants to come to India from Australia for ten days. But her father is worried about her security. Then his assistant wants to hand over the responsibility of taking care of her security to an agency. For this, he resorts to Google.

If you type 'Number One Security Agency in India' in it... he immediately sends one lakh dollars to the company that appears there and immediately agrees to the deal. Do you know the name of the company he deals with? 'Number One Security Agency'. It's a dodgy office. There are four old security guards in it.

However, logically, it may seem silly to entrust the security of a billionaire's daughter like this. But when we see this scene on screen, it feels funny. We laugh. There are many comedy scenes and dialogues in 'Robin Hood' that seem illogical.. that make us 'cringe'. However, they make us laugh. They make us pass the time. The attraction of the film is comedy.

In films that are mainly about comedy, we cannot expect much from the story. But it should be engaging at least a little. In this regard, 'Robin Hood' seems too light. A villain who destroys a village.. A heroine who comes from a foreign country and gets caught in his trap.. A hero who becomes her savior.. The characters in this film follow a routine template.

The hero-villain's ups and downs all seem normal. 'Robin Hood' engages well until the comedy scenes in the first half. But from the introduction of the villain's character, it progresses stereotypically. Even the ganja business deal that the villain does not arouse much interest. From the moment the hero and heroine set foot in the villain's village, the popularity of 'Robin Hood' decreases.

The villain.. has shown his gang in terms of looks, but.. their characters seem silly. The village episodes run in a way that cannot be taken seriously anywhere. However, the director has ensured that the film does not get too boring by bringing Rajendra Prasad-Vennela Kishore into the field in the middle and giving them a dose of comedy. The song 'Adida Surprise' is appealing to the young ladies. At the end, David Warner comes and brings some excitement. If it's just for comedy, you can take a look at 'Robin Hood'. It's hard to expect more than that.

Actors Performance:

Nithin is perfect for the role of Robin Hood. His looks are as good as ever. Despite his age, he still looks youthful. Nithin acted coolly without being too hasty. Srileela was impressed with her glamour. Srileela, who appeared in the role of a stupid girl like the heroine in Trivikram's films, did a good job of comedy.

Apart from that, her role.. acting is not worth mentioning. Dev Dutta looked scary to watch in the villain role. His performance is the same. Malayalam actor Lal excelled in the main role. Vennela Kishore.. Rajendra Prasad made people laugh a lot. David Warner's cameo is good. The rest of the artists are average.

Technical category:

The technical aspects of 'Robin Hood' are well done. The surprise in GV Prakash Kumar's songs is impressive. The rest of the songs are okay. The background music is lively. Sai Sriram's cinematography is colorful. There is no compromise on the production values in the film. It is richly filmed.

Director Venky Kudumula seems to have reduced the focus on the story compared to his previous films. He has handled the comedy well. His one-liners are impressive. If the story had been strong, 'Chalo'.. 'Bheeshma' would have been a match for 'Robin Hood'. As a writer.. as a director, Venky gets average marks.
